Bristol Primary Aquasplash Festivals - Sep 2010

Aquasplash Festivals are a chance for pupils to take part in a swimming event designed for all levels. Those taking part will be able to do various activities based on various swimming disciplines including water polo, diving, synchronised swimming and life-saving skills.

The Bristol festivals are supported by the competition manager team, Bristol City Council, the RNLI and local swimming clubs.

FINA Junior World Diving Championships 2010

1 to 6 September 2010 - University of Arizona, Tuscan

Tom Daley will aim to add the junior title to his world senior crown at the Junior World Diving Championships. The 16-year old struck two silvers in the ‘B’ category two years ago and will be looking to reach the podium again after a tricep injury disrupted his European Championship and Youth Olympic Games campaigns in August.

Daley will be joined in the USA by synchro partner Max Brick, with whom the teenager finished ninth in the 10m synchro platform at the World Championships in Rome last year.

Tom Daley to compete on 3m Springboard in Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games

Tom Daley will be competing in the 3m Springboard at the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games but has made the decision not compete in his trademark 10m Platform event.

The 16-year-old continues to recover from the tricep injury he sustained at the European Championships earlier this month.

Commonwealth Games England announces diving squad for Delhi 2010

Sarah Barrow, Tonia Couch and World Champion Tom Daley are amongst the thirteen divers set to represent England at the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games.

16-year-old Daley won the Platform gold at the World Championships in Rome last year and will be accompanied by Olympic silver medallist and former Commonwealth Champion, Pete Waterfield, recently crowned European bronze medallist Monique Gladding and Olympian Nick Robinson-Baker.

The LEN European Diving Championships 2010

The LEN European Championships for Swimming, Diving, Synchro & Open Water take place in Budapest from 4 to 15 August 2010.

The LEN European Diving Championships will see Tom Daley lead the British Team, powered by British Gas, into action as they aim to take on the best in Europe.

Daley will be making his return from injury as he uses his new lists of dives for the first time in competition. The World Champion will be challenged in his quest for glory by experienced platform divers Germany’s Sascha Klein and Aleksey Kravchenko.

Daley in Team GB squad for Youth Olympic Games 2010

World Champion Tom Daley, along with three of Britain’s other young aquatic stars have been announced onto Team GB for the first Youth Olympic Games (YOG) which takes place in Singapore from 14-26 August.

Daley will be accompanied by Megan Sylvester (Diving), Ellie Faulkner (Swimming) and Rachael Kelly (Swimming) on the 40-strong Team GB squad of athletes aged 14-18.

Tom Daley pulls out of British Gas Diving Championships 2010

World Champion Tom Daley has pulled out of the British Gas Diving Championships taking place in Sheffield this weekend because of a slight back injury.

Following his impressive performance in 2009 at the World Championships, where he became Britain’s youngest World Champion, he has been preselected for his key events of the year.

The rest of 2010 will see Daley compete at the European Championships in Budapest and the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

British Diving team for European Junior Diving Championships 2010

9 to 13 July 2010 - Helsinki, Finland

A nine-strong British Diving team, powered by British Gas, will take on the best athletes on the continent at the European Junior Diving Championships.

The five-day competition will see British divers take on tough competition from Russia, Germany and Italy.

World Champion and teen diving sensation Tom Daley will be competing on home soil later this month and you can be there for as little as £2.

Daley, along with many of Britain’s other top divers, will be looking to gain qualification for the European Championships and Commonwealth Games at the event. He is competing on the 3m and 10m boards.

FINA World Cup 2010 China

2 to 6 June 2010 -

Ten of Britain’s top divers have been announced in the team that will compete for honours at the FINA World Cup which will take place in China in June. Olympic silver medallist Peter Waterfield will lead the team into action as they prepare to compete against the best in the world.

The British Diving Team, powered by British Gas, features a total of four Beijing Olympians and will see young stars Alicia Blagg, Hannah Starling and Jack Laugher compete at their first major international competition.

FINA Diving Grand Prix 2010, Montreal

29 April to 2 May 2010- Montreal Canada

Britain’s elite will be taking to the boards with the aim of taking on the best in the world in Montreal Canada. The British Diving team, powered by British Gas, will be headed up by Olympic Medallist Peter Waterfield and Olympians Nick Robinson-Baker and Rebecca Gallantree.

The event acts as one of the selection meets for the FINA World Cup which will take place in June and the divers will be looking to impress with their performances in Montreal.

Live results and video streaming will be available through www.diving.ca and www.rezman.net throughout the competition.
