The ASA, the National Governing Body for Swimming, is seeking an England Talent Delivery Manager with the purpose of the role being to plan and manage the delivery of the England Talent Pathway for swimming. Programmes and services will need to be managed in accordance with the British Swimming Strategic Plan and in line with Sport England Whole Sport Plan priorities.

The post holder will be accountable for the overall effectiveness, impact and performance of the England Talent Pathway. The successful candidate will have proven experience in planning, implementing managing and evaluating major programmes within a NGB and have an excellent knowledge and appropriate experience of coaching and talent identification. Ideally the candidate will have an understanding of national and international swimming.

Data Administrator Casual (Casual Contract)

Resident Housemaster for Plymouth College & Plymouth Leander Elite Swimming Programme

Plymouth College are seeking to appoint an experienced resident Housemaster, either non-teaching or part-time teaching / part-time coaching, to safeguard and promote the welfare of approximately forty 13-18 year old swimming scholars in our co-educational boarding house.

The successful candidate will be reliable, adaptable, organised, calm, caring and passionate about pastoral welfare. The ability to drive a school minius is essential; training will be given.

The ASA is the National Governing Body for Swimming and its associated disciplines in England are looking for a part time Regional Administrator.

The purpose of the role is to provide effective and efficient administrative and financial support to the ASA South West regional office

Proven experience in administration including telephone answering and typing correspondence are essential for this role. The successful candidate must also have comprehensive key board skills and sound working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and email and have the ability to manage a varied work programme and prioritise work.

Newton Abbot SC is a successful teaching and competitive club with over 400 members from beginner to national level and a thriving water polo section. Swim 21 accredited, their focus is to continually develop the club and build on their successes.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the ability to:

  • Mentor and inspire swimmers, teachers and poolside volunteers.
  • Deliver excellent coaching skills and prepare sets for the Junior Squad.
  • Assist the Head Coach for 3½ hours per week and attend competitions as required.
  • Use sound planning and administration skills and communicate clearly to all.
  • Work closely with and under the direction of the club’s Head Coach.
  • Provide coaching cover for the Head Coach, including the writing of sets for Senior Squad during holidays, sickness, competition cover and other absences.
  • Work with the club’s committee.

The position is self employed. Coaching experience and UKCC Level 2 coaching qualification or working towards are desirable. A full CRB enhanced check will be required. Remuneration commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Vacancy - Blandford Forum Swimming Club Water Polo Coach

Main Location Blandford Forum and Bryanston School Sports Centres
Part-time two evenings a week Wednesday and Thursday 7pm to 8pm, weekend matches and committee meetings.

Blandford Forum Swimming Club is seeking to appoint a water polo coach to manage and develop the 3 Blandford Water Polo Teams (Key stage 2 onwards) with support from a water polo club secretary.

The KS2 and junior team had a successful year in 2011 and are looking for a coach to develop them further. You will need to have or be actively working towards a UKCC Level 2 water polo coaching qualification, as well as a minimum of one year’s coaching experience. You will also need an understanding of the needs of junior water polo players.

A full driving licence is essential for this post.
