Dave McNulty appointed Head Coach of Bath Intensive Training Centre

Olympic medal-winning coach Dave McNulty has been announced as the Head Coach of the soon to be established British Swimming Intensive Training Centre (ITC) at the University of Bath. McNulty, who coached Jo Jackson to a bronze medal in the 400m Freestyle at the Beijing Olympics, will head up one of a new nationwide network of five ITCs designed to provide a world-class daily training environment for swimmer development and to build on the success of Beijing as the sport looks towards London in 2012.

The former Durham Aquatics coach, who has spent the past six months at Loughborough University, is looking forward to the challenge.

"I'm very excited about this British Swimming opportunity to work as head coach of the Bath ITC," said McNulty."This ITC will provide all of the daily training requirements for high performance athletes in a world class environment. It will help to build on the success of the Beijing Olympics by looking forward to 2012 and beyond. I take up this position in October and I'm looking forward to working with everyone at TeamBath. By working together with TeamBath we will have a system in place that underpins the ITC and offers opportunities for all."

2009 Geneva International Meet - ASA South West Region Selection Policy and Availability Forms

16-18 January 2009

The Region will be sending a team to the Geneva International Meet which will be identified from performances at the ASA South West Championships (selection ‘Trials’) held from 28 - 30 November 2008 at Millfield. Maximum number of available athlete places is 16.

The ‘Selection Panel’ comprises the ASA South West Talent ID Coach, ASA SW Swimming committee representative, Senior Team Manager and the BSCTA (West) Regional Operations Officer.

The team of 16 swimmers will be accompanied by a Senior Team Manager, Assistant Team Manager and two coaches. Applications for the posts of Senior and Assistant Team Manager are invited.
