    THE ENGLAND - WEST SCHOOL OF SWIMMING DEVELOPMENT

    DISTRICT SWIMMING TRAINING COURSE - 25th YEAR
    BRYANSTON SCHOOL, BLANDFORD FORUM, DORSET

    DATES: 7- 13 AUGUST 2005


    Five times World Butterfly Champion James Hickman will be coming to Bryanston to give Butterfly clinics to each group on the England West School of Swimming course in August.

    The course is aimed at the CLUB SWIMMER and not necessarily at top County and District swimmers

    Places are available for the following:

  • Competitive Training course for swimmers aged 11 years and over as at 31 December 2005 (no upper age limit)
  • Special 8 - 10 year Junior Competitive Group (maximum 30 swimmers)


  • SPECIAL ATTENTION TO CORE TECHNIQUE IN THE FOUR STROKES, IM AND STARTS / TURNS

    COURSE FEES:

    Each family - 205 (1st Child), 195 (2nd Child), 185 (3rd / 4th / etc Child)

    APPLICATIONS CLOSE ON 2 JUNE 2005

    1.A 40 deposit is essential with each application form, which will be refunded should the application be rejected. Those withdrawing without good reason (i.e. medical) will forfeit their deposit.
    2.Successful swimmers will be notified by 16 June 2005
    3.The Course will commence after lunch on Sunday 7 August and terminate after breakfast (10am) on SATURDAY 13 AUGUST

    Activities Include:
    2 Swimming Sessions per day
    Lactate Lectures and Testing
    Latex Band Warm Ups
    PE / Weight Circuit Training / Videos
    Canoeing on River Stour
    Specialist Lectures
    Recreational Facilities include:
    Evening Activities
    Squash / Tennis / Badminton / Volleyball
    Video Film / TV
    Last Night Disco, Tuck Shop
    Swimmers' Lounge
    Staff / Adult Bar

    All groups will work under the direction of qualified coaches and PE staff, each group has its own chaperon. Qualified medical staff are on duty throughout. West development funding has been approved to expand new concepts.

    Families experiencing financial difficulties are invited to apply to the Ray Clash Memorial Fund for assistance. Please write to the District General Secretary requesting consideration.
